We have so many choices to make in a one day period. What will I eat for breakfast, cereal, or stop and get a donut; now you’re talking! What will I listen to on the radio? Will it be a Talk show, news, music and if music what kind; country, rock or maybe gospel. I hope it would be gospel. Possibly listen to a CD of your choice; oh no, how many CD’s do you have. You go to the drink machine and there you are faced with more choices. Go to the restaurant and there you are faced with choices. Are you getting the picture? We live in a country where making choices is a full time job. As I was reading my Bible these verses caught my eye and mind:
Psa 107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
Oh let us give thanks unto the Lord for He is good. Look at verse two; do you see what it is saying? “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so;” say so about what? First, the Lord is good; why should we say He is good? We should say the Lord is good and broadcast the fact that we have been redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Now that’s mercy. When you got up this morning with all the other choices you had to make did you first make the choice to be HAPPY?  You may say happy about what? Happy that you have sight, happy that you have air to breath, happy that you can hear, happy that you can laugh! Take any one of those away and see how happy you would be. The next mirror you see; stop and smile at yourself and give thanks unto the Lord for He is good. Don’t you think?
