Doubt

 If I were tosay Doubting Thomas most everyone would know who I was referring to.    John 20:24  But Thomas, one ofthe twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. John 20:25  The other disciplestherefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except Ishall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the printof the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. Here was a man by the name of Thomas who missed seeingJesus. Thomas had for whatever reason decided not to be with the rest of theother disciples that Sunday night.  Hehad witnessed the Lord dying so when he heard the news that Jesus was alive itwas just more than he could believe so he said I just can’t believe. This iswhat the word doubt means: Doubt- To question, or holdquestionable; to withhold assent from; to hesitate to believe; as, I have heardthe story, but I doubt the truth of it. Have you ever heard of doubting Zacharias? He asked“how shall I know” Luke 1:18  And Zacharias saidunto the angel, Whereby shall I know this?
